Rehabilitation for

Sepsis & Cancer

Learn about how to recognize sepsis, the link between sepsis and cancer, the benefits of rehabilitation for sepsis, and how to assess function for those with sepsis in the resources below.

PROJECT OUTLINE

This website presents findings from the I-CaRe project. The I-CaRe project examined the intersection of frailty, sepsis, and cancer and the potential for rehabilitation to manage these conditions. There were two parts to this project. First, we conducted a review to explore the literature on the intersection of frailty, sepsis, and cancer (Part 1; access here). We then worked with end-users (patients/caregivers and health professionals) to create educational resources describing these conditions and the potential of rehabilitation services to improve outcomes for individuals with these conditions (Part 2). Below you will find the resources created with patients, caregivers, and health professionals as part of this project.
